Day 5: Day trip to Bryce Canyon full of crazy Rock formations

Writer: Hans PedersenHans Pedersen

Yesterday we took a day trip to the second national park on our itinerary: Bryce Canyon in Utah, 1h20min drive from Kanab. „Hoodoos“ (irregular columns of rock) exist on every continent, but here is the largest concentration found anywhere on Earth. Situated along a high plateau, at 2500+ meters, at the top of the Grand Staircase, the park's high elevations features geological wonders that defy description.

We took one of the popular hikes 250 meter down the rim from Sunset Point, through the narrow corridors of Wall Street, past the Silent City, past an intersection with Queens Garden Loop Trail, and the top of Peekaboo Loop Trail, before ascending the rim of the amphitheater again at Sunset Point. The hike took us through mind blowing rock formations and landscapes.

We meet quite a few other people on the route as this is one of the popular national parks to visit.
